The company has the former home of Hillsboro Village mainstay Sunset Grill under contract, with plans to bring three Fresh concepts to the building, said Matt Bodnar, a partner in the company.
The building, located at 2001 Belcourt Ave., is tucked just off Hillsboro Village’s main drag, and offers 6,359 square feet of space, with the option to share 70 parking spots with neighboring Cabana.
Current owner, restaurateur RandyRayburn, bought the building in 1994. After 24 years operating Sunset Grill, Rayburn closed the restaurant this past New Years Eve, and told the Nashville Business Journal in January that he was looking to sell the building. His asking price? A cool $2.69 million. Rayburn bought the building for roughly $450,000.
Bodnar said Fresh anticipates splitting the 6,000 square foot space into three — two roughly the same same square footage and one slightly smaller. The company hasn’t decided which Fresh concepts it would open in Hillsboro Village, but Bodnar said a Juice Bar and a Taziki’s are being considered.
